“Winters Glow”

In winter’s glow, the evening spills
A hush of silver on the hills;
The pines wear shawls of frosted lace,
Soft diamonds dusting every space.

The hush is deep—each frozen tree
Holds whispered secrets silently;
The world is drawn in gentle light,
Glass-pure beneath the velvet night.

Warm windows gleam in golden rows
While midnight’s blue-touched shadow grows,
And children stamp through crystal snow,
Bright cheeks abloom with fires below.

The river, iced in pale repose,
Dreams on beneath the drifting crows;
Here peace descends all silken-slow—
Enchanted by the winter’s glow.

O, let this stillness sing and stay;
A silver world, serene and fey,
Where even darkness, soft and low,
Is gentle in the winter’s glow.
