“Twenty friends enjoying three kinds of delicious pizza served by Cesar in a lovely Mexican evening”
Beneath the warm Mexican twilight’s glow,
Where bougainvillea purple tendrils grow,
A laughter spills across a courtyard wide—
Twenty friends, their hearts thrown open wide.
Cesar stands smiling, arms outstretched in cheer,
The scent of oregano drawing all near.
Three splendid pizzas—such colors, such taste!
Cheese bubbling golden, no crumb to waste.
The first: A classic, Margherita delight,
Tomatoes and basil, a canvas of white.
Mozzarella melting in gooey embrace—
Blessed by the touch of Cesar’s swift grace.
The second arrives—al pastor, bold and bright,
Sweet pineapple gleaming, pork kissed by the night.
Cilantro and onions, a salsa so sweet,
Together composing a jubilant feast.
Last, a surprise: huitlacoche’s dark bloom,
Earthy and local, a festival’s tune.
Cotija and mushrooms, epazote’s live dance,
A bite of old Mexico—daring romance.
Raucous, the circle, around tables set,
Wine in their glasses, no hint of regret,
Echoes of stories drift soft in the air,
Seasons remembered and future dreams shared.
Cesar, the maestro, beaming with pride,
As moonbeams join laughter and soft warmth outside.
Twenty hearts braided, by friendship’s design,
And pizza, and evening, and sweet Mexican wine.
