“Three stanza poem about the elements of the periodic table”
In fields of iron, copper, gold,
A tapestry of tales unfolds—
Beneath our feet and far above,
Each element, a code composed.
Hydrogen kindles starry birth,
While carbon binds the bones of earth.
Silver rivers, sodium light,
The dance of potassium’s spark—
Neon glows in city nights,
Magnesium ignites the dark.
Oxygen’s breath on every breeze,
Sulfur’s scent in thunder’s tease.
From noble gases, calm and shy,
To uranium’s silent might,
They bind and break and amplify
The colors hidden from our sight.
O periodic galaxy—
You build the world, and mystery.
