“Silk dress in indigo”

In lamplight’s hush, she glides: a silent flow
Of indigo, spun dreams that softly gleam—
Her silk dress gathers midnight’s ancient glow,
Each fold a dusky petal from a dream.

Moon-kissed and trembling thin upon her skin,
It shivers where her laughter stirs the air,
A waterfall of blue caught deep within,
Its sheen refracting secrets she won’t share.

Between the shadows, jewel-dark and keen,
She dances on the parquet, swift and low;
Her hem sweeps whispers, weaving blue and sheen,
A fluttering creek where silent wishes go.

O indigo—more night than eye can see—
You robe her heart in midnight mystery.
