“School Library”
In the hush of the library, sunlight pours
Through tall, slanted windows, pooling on floors;
A world set apart with its shelves standing tall—
The heart of the school, the quietest hall.
Spines wearing names like adventures and dreams,
Whispering secrets in shimmery streams;
Here, every table and nook holds a story,
Of dragons and planets, of heartbreak and glory.
The chairs softly creak as young minds will settle,
With pencils and paper and questions to tettle.
A clock ticks above, but its hands seem to pause
When lost in a book or a wonderful cause.
The librarian’s smile is a guide and a gate,
To mysteries waiting, to friends on page eight;
To answers for riddles, to poems that rhyme,
And histories captured beyond place or time.
Under calm lamplight, the world opens wide—
With facts for the curious, safe places to hide.
It’s castle and spaceship, it’s island and sea,
The library holds all that learning can be.
So wander its aisles and breathe in the lore;
The school library—always an unlocked door.
Step in and discover, just take it in stride—
There’s a universe ready, just waiting inside.
