“Same, same. Similar but different. Love is love.”
Same, same—the world repeats its tune,
Familiar faces speaking under the moon,
A hand in a hand, warm and proud—
Yet every quiet heartbeat is somehow loud.
Similar but different—each laugh and tear,
The mirror’s pattern, but not quite clear.
Your eyes find mine in a crowd so wide,
Different stories, side by side.
Love is love, in every shade—
The sunlight glimmer, the softest braid
Of days made golden because we dare
To see the truth that heartbeats share.
It circles round in every tongue—
A lullaby equally old and young,
Same, same, but wildly new—
A promise whispered: “I see you.”
So here we are, alike, apart—
Threads of the same, stitched through the heart.
For love is love, whether near or far—
A universe held in a single star.
