“sad poem about what if it doesnt all work out”
What if the bricks we’ve stacked so high
Collapse into a clouded sky,
If all the blueprints, well-intended,
Crack where distant dreams have ended?
Suppose the letters never send—
Suppose the long road has no bend—
Suppose the doors that softly sighed
Are never truly opened wide?
Will morning come, or night remain,
Will hope grow numb beneath the rain,
Or will the aching in our chest
Remind us we have tried our best?
Maybe what’s lost among the fears
Will sprout in silence, watered tears,
And broken plans will, in their place,
Let sunlight find an unmarked space.
So if it doesn’t work at all—
Let courage catch us as we fall,
For hearts that shatter, then begin
Are sometimes how new lights get in.
