“Pedro Sánchez”

Upon Iberian sunshine, the Cortes resounds,
A name woven deep in democracy’s bounds:
Pedro Sánchez, madrileño born and bred,
With vision and vigor, and challenges ahead.

Among statues that whistle of old civil wars,
He strides through Moncloa’s venerable doors;
Economist’s reason, diplomat’s tact,
He bends with the tempests, but never looks back.

Progressive in purpose, he kindles the fire
Of hopes for a future that climbs ever higher—
Champion of workers, of feminists’ cause,
He fashions consensus, reshaping old laws.

Madrid’s bustling arteries pulse in his veins,
From Chamberí’s cafes to wide Gran Vía’s lanes;
A fervor for Europe, for unity’s dream,
His words flash like steel in the Parliament’s gleam.

Negotiator at heart, through turbulence led,
Crisis and pandemic: his path often red
With roses of conflict, of equipoise lost—
But forging ahead, he measures the cost.

So here’s to the leader who charts in the night,
For Spain in its splendor, its sorrow, its light;
Pedro Sánchez—debated, determined, aware—
A chapter in history still writing, still there.
