“Kids Reading”

In corners bright with afternoon’s embrace,
A gathering of children, eyes ablaze—
Upon the carpet, stories find their place,
And words become a lantern’s gentle rays.

With every page, a castle rises tall,
A pirate ship can sail across the rug;
A dragon breathes its fire down the hall,
And secret doors invite a whispered hug.

Beneath the cover’s gentle colored dome,
The universe grows bigger, wild, and wide:
A girl explores the stars outside her home,
A boy befriends a tiger, bold with pride.

The quiet laughter swirling in the room,
The rustle as inventions start to grow;
A woodland path unfurling in full bloom,
And questions only stories seem to know.

Inside these books, the youngest dreamers learn
That every tale can carry heart and light;
Through printed lines, imaginations turn—
And kids who read can soar and take to flight.
