“i got a feeling of sunny days ahead”
I got a feeling of sunny days ahead—
The morning starts with blush of apricot on my bed,
Windows flung wide to the laughter of light,
Birdsong stitching promise through threads of the night.
Clouds drift like wishes in a clear blue sea,
Shadows shrinking, running from the possibility
Of green grass waking, unfurling in the park,
Petals spilling gold on the pavement stark.
Yesterday’s worries dissolve in the warmth,
Soft as lemonade sipped on a porch:
A sigh of relief in the roll of the breeze,
Hints of new chapters rustling the trees.
I feel it: unburdened, my spirit lifts high,
Each hour unfolding beneath a broader sky.
The world seems to tell me—come out, come and play,
For hopeful hearts, there are bright, golden days.
