“Happy Birthday Kim on a rainy April day on the coast of Maine”

On this rain-soft April morning, Kim,
The sea is draped in velvet gray,
And gulls cry out on curling winds
To greet your special day.
The pines, still dark from evening fog,
Lean close to watch the rocky shore,
Where puddles gather laughter's drops
Outside your weathered door.

A birthday song in drizzle notes
Pats gently at the windowpane,
Each bead of rain a silver wish
Along the coast of Maine.
The harbor boats, with bobbing bows,
Salute you with their masts held high,
And every shell along the sand
Seems polished just for you nearby.

Inside, the kettle’s gentle hum
Competes with thunder’s far-off tune,
And lamplight glows with warmth enough
To rival any sun of June.
So, happy birthday, dearest Kim,
May every raincloud’s shimmering trace
Bring luck and laughter, love and light—
Here by the sea, your magic place.

As April’s storm may come and pass,
Your joy upon these waves will stay,
For you bring bright, unclouded skies
To Maine, this rainy birthday day.
