“Gen Z current feeling”
We scroll through cycles of news and noise,
A blend of laughter, worry, meme.
Eyes bright behind blue-lit screens—
Threads of TikToks, woven dream.
We speak in GIFs, reply in slang,
The world in palm and fingertips,
Yet every warning bell that rang
Still echoes in our midnight scripts.
Inherited wildfires, rising tides,
Diplomacy in DMs, hope worldwide,
Marching for justice, making signs,
Yet longing for joy that never hides.
Climate anxiety and college debt,
A future, promised, but not seen yet,
But still: a sunflower hope persists,
Blooming between all the “what is” and “what ifs.”
We are playlists, protests, group texts at dawn,
Building tomorrow, singing today's song.
Lost and found in the crowd online,
We look for kindred cravings of sunshine.
Above the static, we dare to dream—
Radical kindness, invention’s gleam;
This is Gen Z: cautious but bold,
Bearers of burdens, hearts spun from gold.
