“Friday weekend holiday funny break relax”

Friday tiptoes through the halls,
A sly and nimble friend—
It drops the weight of dreary days
And tells us work will end.
The clock’s a trickster, winking slow,
Yet fast enough, it seems—
For soon we’re clutching car keys tight,
And racing for our dreams.

Oh, weekend—holiday in sight!
You greet us with a grin.
No lessons taught, no bosses called,
No “urgent” emails spin.
We trade the suit for slippers soft,
Unravel tangled nerves;
Our greatest task: to laugh and lounge,
And sample restful curves.

We huddle close for goofy games,
Share pizza—three a slice—
And tell tall tales of office life
Where staplers come alive.
The sunlight dances, window-bright;
The grass becomes our bed.
We nap beneath an open sky,
With not one thing to dread.

So here’s to Friday’s funny break,
And holiday’s embrace—
To salt on fries, to lazy eyes,
To life at gentle pace.
Let’s cherish hours both slow and sweet—
Refresh our weary hearts—
For Monday’s miles seem far away,
When weekend joy restarts.
