“china”

Porcelain hills in the rising haze,
Where whispers float from ancient days,
A dragon's breath, a swallow's flight,
China wakes in dawn’s pale light.

Terraced fields like ladders climb
To mountain peaks beyond all time;
Great Wall winding, granite veins
Guard the secrets, hold the plains.

In Beijing’s heart, the palace glows
Red and gold in sunset’s throes,
Jade rivers twist through willow’s shade,
Where lantern-lit night markets trade.

Ink-brushed characters on open scrolls,
Poets’ longing, sages’ goals;
Tea leaves unfurl—a fragrant spell—
In cups that hold old stories well.

Silk that shimmers, fans that dance,
Crickets chirring in a trance;
Rice paddies shimmer, children play,
Kites like phoenixes at bay.

China, land of endless song,
Past and future weaving strong—
From lotus bloom to city sprawl,
Enduring beauty, heart of all.
