“brain is sweating from hot flashes”

My brain is sweating from hot flashes bright,
A sudden summer in my skull’s pale light—
It burns behind my forehead’s careful gate,
A fevered furnace thoughts evaporate.

Neurons sizzle in waves of liquid fire,
As if my mind conducted its own pyre.
Ideas run with towels, dressing thin,
Mopping the storm that stirs me from within.

Calendula sun on winter’s cool parade,
Yet here I am, a wilted leaf afraid,
Clutching sense as logic starts to steam,
Trying to patch the leaks of every dream.

Oh, let the breeze of clarity descend—
Perspiring pathways, let your fever end.
Until then, each sizzling thought I catch
Wears pearls of sweat—a wisdom none can match.
