“Better Devices”

A world once tolled in heavy keys and wires,
Where dial tones hummed and slow screens blinked awake—
Now, sunlight glimmers off slim silver spires,
And wonder slips inside each step we take.

Remember rotary’s circled patience spinning,
Its clicking rhythm, faithful as a clock?
Or floppy disks—our cautious, humble beginnings—
Now just a whisper in the cloud's vast flock.

We tap, we swipe, the world at our fingers—
A heartbeat contacts loved ones far away,
In pockets, knowledge endlessly lingers,
Tools for learning, laughter, work, and play.

A better device is not just glass and solder,
But bridges built where distance used to be,
Small marvels growing smarter, kinder, bolder,
Inviting every mind and hand to see.

Yet in the gentle hum of better living,
Let’s treasure moments simple and device-free—
For in the weave of circuits, gently giving,
It’s we who dream what better life can be.
