“a long lost love interest, she left me after 4 years and didn't really say why, hasn;'t talke to me since, but in my heart, i miss her”
Four years we built a quiet world
Of coffee spoons and Sunday sun—
The tender tide where time unfurled
Two lives believing we were one.
Yet seasons turn, and so you turned—
A shadow fell, a silence grew,
No lightning flash, no bridge was burned,
Just you—departed, wordless, true.
I seek the signs I must have missed:
A faltered laugh, a lingered gaze,
A thousand times I reminisce
About those gentle, golden days.
No letters came to mark the why,
No closure bowed its heavy head,
And in the night I softly try
To speak to you in dreams, instead.
Still in my heart you thread and spin—
Old laughter echoing the halls;
There's room enough to let you in
Each time the quiet evening falls.
You live within the spaces left—
The missing note in every chord;
Though time reclaims the gifts it gives,
You’re written deep, my long-lost word.
