“A happy girl called Sally and her friends”
In the heart of Maple Valley
Lives a cheerful girl named Sally,
Her sneakers bright, her laughter sweet—
She skips and hops along the street.
Her friends are never far behind:
There’s Lucy, gentle, warm, and kind,
And Max, who jokes at every chance,
And Ria, queen of every dance.
They gather in the golden sun
When school is out and work is done,
Their imaginations run so wild
For every thought sparks off a smile.
They build tall forts from sheets and chairs,
Stage puppet shows on winding stairs,
Catch dragonflies beside the creek
And trade small secrets, cheek to cheek.
They picnic underneath the trees
While stories drift upon the breeze.
Though autumn’s winds begin to swirl,
Each day feels bright with Sally’s twirl.
For joy grows best, or so it seems,
Among good friends and shared daydreams—
And Sally’s giggle in the air
Means happiness is everywhere.
